MAY 19: THE DAY OF FREEDOM AND YOUTH 19.05.2024

May 19 is a historical day when the Turkish War of Independence began, and a collapsed and exhausted nation was reborn from its ashes. This day, when the foundations of the Republic of Turkey were laid and the fire of freedom was lit, is a turning point for Turkish youth. May 19 is a special day for both young people and us to celebrate our national sovereignty. This special day, which emphasizes the responsibility of passing on the legacy we inherited from Mustafa Kemal Atatürk to future generations, has a significant meaning for all of us. This year, our 11th-grade students took on important roles while celebrating May 19 Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day for the 105th time. At the ceremony, which we all watched proudly with tears in our eyes, our young people addressed Atatürk and said, “We will neither give up on you nor your work.” With these words, they once again expressed their commitment to Atatürk's legacy and their determination to carry it into the future.
