WE HOSTED URBAN PLANNER HITAY BARAN 30.04.2024

While covering the main idea of “Conscious use of limited resources affects the future of societies”, our students examined what limited and unlimited resources are, focused on water, which is one of our limited resources, and studied “Lake Aral”. After doing many activities about Lake Aral, they established connections between protecting water resources and creating a sustainable life. Then, they started to make a model of the Sustainable Town of Lake Aral. To become more knowledgeable about designing a sustainable town, they invited Hitay Baran, an urban planner, to their school. During Baran’s visit, our students learned what an urban planner does and what should be in our living spaces for a sustainable living space. Also, they had the opportunity to ask Hitay Baran the questions they had in mind about the subject.
