“Anatolia was waking up... Mustafa Kemal's hopes and ideals were shedding light all over the country. His struggle for his people and every step he took was illuminated by the Republic. This light was the light of independence, modernism, freedom, science and justice. October 29, 1923 is not only the foundation of a state, but also the resurrection of a nation. Our 8th grade students successfully presented our “Lights of the Republic” themed ceremony and promised to be the light of society by saying “The Republic demands generations with a free mind and a free conscience.”
