THEY APPLIED THEIR KNOWLEDGE OF MATHEMATICS TO REAL LIFE 06.10.2022

Within the scope of Sustainable Living Space & Sierpinski, one of the Mathematics Service Action projects, our 12th-grade students who were involved in the project received an hour of online ceramics training. After the training, they started working on making pots from clay in the visual arts workshop. They used the vector information they learned while trying to roll out the dough and shape it to calculate the volume. They placed the corner points of the pot on GeoGebra 3D and calculated its volume. Hence, they had the opportunity to experience it in real life. When the pot gets completed, they will test the accuracy of their work on the 3D Augmented Reality application.
