SEMINAR: NEW GENERATIONS AND THE NEW WORLD OF LEARNING 11.01.2019

We will be hosting Evrim Kuran, who stands out with her ground-breaking researches on generations, in the second session of our “Seminars Towards Tomorrow”. In the seminar to be held on Saturday, January 12th, 2019, we will be discussing the topic “New Generations and the New World of Learning”. During our seminar with Evrim Kuran, we will look at the intergenerational differences and the common characteristics of each generation while extending the limits of our tolerance and trying to become more understanding instead of being judgemental. We will discuss the expectations of the new generations from the old generations and address the useful methods to be used by parents and educators while communicating with young people. Evrim Kuran states: “Understanding a generation is understanding an era. When you understand the era, you will break free from the clamps of the paradigm. By this way, you will start seeing others who are different from you, by considering their realities instead of judging them based on your own perspective. When this happens, you will change. It is essential to put aside your judgments and to see the truth in intergenerational relationships.” We invite parents and teachers to understand the new generations better, to explore different generations in a learning environment and to take a look at the new world of learning.
