PHILOSOPHY OLYMPIAD 03.12.2017

We congratulate our Grade 12 student Ege Ergür, who represented our school in the 22nd Turkey Philosophy Olympiad held at Izmir Türk Koleji, and wish him a continued success for further steps of the Olympiad. Turkey Philosophy Olympiad (TFO) is the national step towards the International Philosophy Olympiad (IPO) and is an organisation supported by UNESCO. One of the aims of this organisation is to instil the love philosophy and arouse interest in this area that underpins free and modern education. By this way, it intends to raise individuals who think correctly, can explain their thoughts and use philosophic resources while expressing themselves. It also aims at helping students adopt consistent thinking to get to know themselves and the world, realize the issues in their country and around the world, and develop unique ideas about major issues.
