PARENT GUIDANCE SEMINAR 28.03.2017

On March 28, the Guidance Counsellors met with ELC3 and Primary School parents to inform them about the sexual development courses they have been running with students. They explained to parents how they focus on female and male reproductive systems, their scientific names, the formation and delivery of a baby during these courses and which terminology and approach they use to deliver that information to students. Our counsellors added that with Grade 4 students they further discuss the changes that occur during adolescence. Parents were advised as to how they should be addressing any questions from children about sex and what language they should be using.
