PARENT EFFECTIVENESS TRAINING 22.02.2017

As announced previously, we started our Parent Effectiveness Training (PET) series on Wednesday with a group of 24 parents. The training is given by school counsellors Gulin Memis and Hulya Ustel Elevis who are both certified PET Trainers. The series is composed of four training sessions and the ultimate goal is to show parents ways of effective communication and conflict-resolution. Other important skills covered in the training are active listening, empathy and acting “with” the child not against him. We hope parents will find the training productive and useful.
