OUR 2ND GRADERS WENT ON A JOURNEY OF DISCOVERY IN THE GEDIZ DELTA 25.02.2025

Our 2nd grade students organized a trip to the Gediz Delta to explore the topic of "Unique Features of Habitats ” within the theme ofHow the World Works. During their trip, they learned that the Gediz River creates a fertile habitat for living creatures and forms a delta with the accumulation of alluvium. By observingthe habitats of many bird species and different living creatures, especially flamingos, they gained valuable information about the functioning of the ecosystem. Our students toured the delta by tour bus and had the opportunity to closely observe the creatures in the region with binoculars. They also got to know the ecological characteristics of the Gediz Delta more closely in the areas where they landed and gained new information about the habitat of flamingos. Thanks to this educational and enjoyable expedition for our students, their awareness of nature and the environment increased.
