ONLINE COMMEMORATION 18.03.2021

Our PS students organized an online event for “March 18th Canakkale Victory and Martyrs’ Day”. Our Social Sciences Department Head Sultan Topcu attended the event and delivered a presentation with the title of “Çanakkale’de Açan Gelincikler”. Our students listened to Ms. Topcu carefully and tried to understand Mustafa Kemal, who had said “I order you to die!” to his soldiers, as well as what love of nation is and how people, including young soldiers, had felt then. Afterwards, they talked about the gratitude they feel for the martyrs. At the end of the event, they colored the corn poppies, which symbolised Mustafa Kemal, Turkish soldiers and themselves. We commemorate our martyrs with respect and gratitude.
