MET ONLINE WITH KAZAKH STUDENTS 17.09.2021

On September 17, High School students from Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Chemistry and Biology in Kyzylorda, Kazakhstan did a presentation to grade 7 students entitled “The Road to Independence: 30 years of Sovereign State Building.” During the presentation, students learned about the issue of sovereignty, the independence of Kazakhstan and what role Turkey played during this process. As the novel “Animal Farm” written by George Orwell is studied during this year, the knowledge shared during this event was very valuable for the students to use while they are working on their interdisciplinary unit “Creating Our Own Country.” It also ties in with the students’ first MYP Unit in English lessons, “Cultures, Traditions and Places.”
