MEETING 20 DIFFERENT SCHOOLS AT THE 11TH YOUTH COUNCIL 03.04.2023

Our Grade 11 students Seher Nehir Tükenmez, Cansu Küçük, Derin Mavi Yazıcı, Sarp Bakırsoy, and Yiğit Emre Aslan attended the 11th Youth Council, which took place at Izmir Saint-Joseph French High School, and represented our school successfully during the event on “Reduced Inequalities”, which is one of the sustainable development goals determined by the UN. Our students, who met with students from twenty different high schools, worked in the committees of law, economics, health, and education to discuss the issue in depth and write reports on respective problems and possible solutions. Then, they listened to the scope and history of cooperatives, the causes of gender inequality in this field, the support that should be given to traditional agricultural production, and the value of ancestral seeds from the guest of the event, Neptün Soyer.
