LAST SCHOOL TRIP BY THIRD GRADERS 14.06.2023

As part of their unit "How We Express Ourselves", our 3rd-grade students visited Onay Akbaş's exhibition titled "Sketches from One End to Another 1984-2023" at Izmir Kulturpark. During the exhibition, our students had the opportunity to see examples of valuable artist Onay Akbaş's creative ideas and original works, get information, and add their own comments, making it a fun school day. The videos and interviews they watched about the artist's life and works provided our students with a chance to get to know the artist better. The sayings placed in the artworks, especially the pictures drawn on receipts collected from tea gardens, and the drawings made on formulas and poems in memory of Leonardo da Vinci became their favorite parts of the exhibition. The saying "It's not the force of the water that breaks the rock, but the continuity of the drop" became a beautiful memory for our 3rd-grade students.
