HS DEBATE ON DEMOCRACY IN THE 100TH YEAR OF OUR REPUBLIC 25.10.2023

Under the leadership of the Isikkent High School Social Sciences Department, we held a debate on "Democracy in the 100th Year of our Republic" with our 9th and 10th graders. The "Free Democracy" team competed against the "Priority is Security" team during this contentious and exciting debate. While the Free Democracy team defended the idea that "What is important in a democratic country is the freedom of citizens", the Priority is Security team opposed the Free Democracy team by defending the idea that "What is important in a democratic country is the security of citizens". We would like to thank our students who participated in the event, which contributed to their internalization of Republican values while helping them exhibit their argumentation skills and our teachers who served as the jury.
