GRADE 8 TRIP TO ANKARA AND CAPPADOCIA 07.05.2024

Our 8th-grade students visited Cappadocia, known as the “Land of Beautiful Horses and Fairies”, where they got to know the region’s unique natural beauties and different cultures. Then, they visited Ankara, our capital city where sovereignty was unconditionally given to the Turkish nation and the Republic was proclaimed, while covering “The Steps of Ataturk”. In Ankara, they discovered our historical heritage by visiting the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations, which was named “Museum of the Year in Europe” in 1997. Also, they visited the First and Second Assemblies and discussed the development of democracy in Turkey. Afterwards, they attended the official ceremony at Anıtkabir, the eternal resting place of our leader, and took an oath to be the indomitable guardians of his relics. While contributing to the development of historical awareness, this trip helped our students realize the prices paid for freedom and understand the significance of protecting our cultural and natural assets.
