CREATING OUR OWN COUNTRY 18.01.2023

Grade 7 students carried out an interdisciplinary project by using their knowledge of Technology & Design, Social Sciences, and Visual Arts and with inspiration from George Orwell’s “Animal Farm”, which they read in their Turkish lessons. After understanding the roles of the characters in real life, they designed sustainable cities, education systems, and energy resources for our planet. They built a model of their own country and realized the importance of values in constructing a country through visual, schematic, verbal, and scientific practices. As a result, they had a learning experience that enabled them to improve ATL skills based on the MYP criteria.
