CONCERT OF APRIL 23 NARRATED BY ENGIN HEPILERI 22.04.2022

The theme of the 9th National Sovereignty and Children’s Day concert, which was held in collaboration with Izmir State Symphony Orchestra, was “Sen Yeter ki Hayal Et Çocuk” (“You Just Dream, Child”). This special concert, which took place in Ahmed Adnan Saygun Art Center, was narrated by the stage actor Engin Hepileri. IEK choir and the orchestral arrangements of the piece were made by Izmir State Opera and Ballet Chief Tolga Taviş and the texts of the piece were written by our History teacher Sultan Topçu under the leadership of IZDSO Conductor Nesrin Bayramoğulları. The piece entitled “Sen Yeter ki Hayal Et Çocuk” (“You Just Dream, Child”) was created especially for this concert and staged for the first time in collaboration with IZDSO and IEK. During this special concert, IEK choir sang beautiful songs, ballads and anthems accompanied by IZDSO, enchanting the audience through orchestra, children’s choir, narrator, young actors, sound, lights and displays. This piece, which was created 2 years ago but could not be staged due to the pandemic, was eventually realized thanks to the efforts of an orchestra consisting of 65 people as well as nearly 100 students and teachers.
