CHESS TOURNAMENT 06.03.2016

2015-2016 Turkish Junior Chess Tournament Izmir competitions, which are held by Turkish Chess Federation, have started. As Işıkkent Eğitim Kampusü, we participated in the competitions, which are held with 114 teams (at least 4 team members) and 14 leagues, with five different teams. First part of the competitions was held in Hasan Sağlam Teacherage on March 5th and 6th. Our first victory was won by the Sarı Martılar (Yellow Seagulls) team in the league “Kemeraltı”. Sarı Martılar team came 3rd in this league with the contributions of its members Yağız Bentürk, Oktay Çakım, Hakan Umur, Bora Tavus and Sarp Uygun. We congratulate our students and wish them a continued success. Also, Yeşil Martılar (Green Seagulls) team members Ata Bektöre, Ahmet Efe Yıldırım, Ron Danon, Bora Süha Cem, and Kuzey Bakırsoy competed in the league “Bozdağ” and represented our school successufully. We congratulate all of our students who participated in the tournament and thank our parents who supported them.
