ARDA SERTER AS THIMUN VICE CHAIRMAN OF 2017 21.10.2016

Grade 12 student Arda Serter was elected as the Vice Chairman of the 6th Committee in the 2017 THIMUN. We heartily celebrate Arda who was granted this position by the THIMUN organisation. The aim of the organisation is to develop students’ point of view about the world and to reinforce the principle of democracy by practising. MUN is a simulation programme that helps students gain global and diplomatic perspective in international relationships. In the MUN (Model United Nations) Conference, the students have to learn about the policies of other countries that they will represent in line with the rules and develop an objective understanding to use in international relationships. While developing their skills in English, the students gain information about the world problems and try to develop solutions for them. In other words, MUN raises diplomats and politicians of the future. Our school is one of the numbered schools in Turkey attending the THIMUN The Hague International Model United Nations Conference, which is the birth place of the MUN and continues as the oldest and most prestigious youth activity with a highest level of participation.
