ALEYNA IS WAITING FOR YOUR SUPPORT FOR HER SIGNATURE CAMPAIGN 29.03.2021

In line with the MYP Personal Project, our Grade 10 student Aleyna Balic has started a signature campaign that says “Violence against animals should be considered a crime!”. Stating that “Unfortunately, I get very upset because of the news about violence against animals, which has been increasing recently in our country, and I decided to focus on this issue while doing my school project this year”, Aleyna is calling support from all animal lovers. She says, “In my opinion, the reason why people who hurt, rape or even kill animals do not back down and why the news about violence against animals become widespread is the criminal injustice. As animals are considered as ‘property’ according to the law, those who commit crimes against them are only given small administrative fines. It is obvious that those fines are not deterrent enough when you look at the news we watch every day. A bill has already been prepared to prevent this but let alone being approved, it has not even been brought to the parliament yet. Therefore, I wanted to dedicate my project to this cause and create a platform where I can collect signatures to make our voice heard. If you want to help me, and more importantly, our animal friends, please participate in this project and sign the campaign.” We expect you all to support the signature campaign started by Aleyna.
