A TRIP TO THE GEDIZ DELTA 06.10.2022

Grade 5 students attended a trip to the “Flamingo Road” to get prepared for their Science unit entitled “World of the Living Things”. During their trip, they sought answers to their questions such as “why are flamingos pink?”, “what do they eat?”, “how do long legs and necks help them?”, “how do they pick partners?” and “how are their reproduction rituals?”. This trip to the Gediz Delta, which hosts 10% of all the flamingos in the world and over 300 different types of birds, was held by a tour guide and raised awareness among our students.
