A TRIP TO ANKARA AND CAPPADOCIA 29.04.2022
In line with the topic ‘’Following in Atatürk’s footsteps”, our Grade 8 students participated in the official ceremony in Anıtkabir, our leader’s final resting place, and promised to embrace the values he entrusted us with. Then, they toured Ankara, where we won our national sovereignty and where the Republic was established. They visited the 1st and 2nd Parliaments as well as the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and observed the development of democracy in Turkey. They visited Ankara Castle, where different civilizations met; the first ethnography museum of Turkey; and the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations, which is one of the most important museums in the world to comprise unique collections. With this trip, the students got the chance to travel through the history of our country while realizing the prices that were paid for our freedom. Following their trip to Ankara, the students visited Cappadocia, which is known as “the Land of Beautiful Horses”, and got to know different cultures as well as the excellent natural beauties of the region.
