A DISCUSSION ON PREPARING CHILDREN FOR LIFE 07.01.2023

We hosted Prof. Dr. Ayse Bilge Selcuk at our campus and discussed significant issues about our growth and development from birth to death. We mentioned the importance of preparing our children for life instead of protecting them from it as well as the key concepts to utilize while achieving this. We talked about dealing with anxiety, developing logical thinking skills, considering the process, getting to know our children and supporting them when they need us, adapting, flexibility, boundaries, speaking of feelings, assessing the development instead of the performance, not categorizing and comparing ourselves with others. We thank Ayse Bilge Selcuk for her valuable contributions as well as all parents and educators who attended this event.
