7TH GRADE STUDENTS' PROJECT “CREATING OUR OWN COUNTRY” 14.01.2025

Our 7th grade students completed their work on the traditional interdisciplinary “Creating Our Own Country” project based on George Orwell’s novel “Animal Farm”. The aim of the project was to investigate the necessity and importance of values and elements in the formation of a country by considering four different MYP disciplines (Language and Literature, Music Visual Arts and Technology and Design). While working on the project, they worked on systematic research and presentation skills according to the guidelines given in all disciplines; while developing specific ATL skills such as research skills, they also developed their interpretation skills by creating their own country and evaluating data and suggestions. Self-Management Skills helped them organize their knowledge and transfer it to the construction of models. They realized the importance of cooperation and planning in the formation of the country they designed. While presenting the work they prepared as a group, importance was given to the development of students' communication skills. In this study, which is considered as a "Service Activity", the projects of our 7th grade students are presented to 6th grade students and their work is evaluated according to certain categories.
