“DISCOVERIES AND INVENTIONS” JOURNEY WITH OUR 3RD GRADE STUDENTS 27.11.2024

Last week, we visited the Izmir Culture and Arts Factory with our 3rd grade students as part of our “Discoveries and Inventions” unit. Our students had the opportunity to closely examine the invention of money, the discovery of writing, prehistoric tools and artifacts from different civilizations. The students displayed great curiosity as they tried to find answers to questions such as ‘How did these inventions and discoveries radically change societies?’ and ‘How did artistic motifs and means of creation develop?’ After the trip, they reinforced what they had learnt as they completed activity booklets and they learnt to look to the future with a broader perspective. This inspiring and educational trip was a journey full of both knowledge and imagination!
