BEING A VOLUNTEER IN A CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATION 07.01.2025

Our 2nd grade students questioned the main idea of ‘Our needs help us to establish different communities’ as a part of our unit ‘How We Organise Ourselves’. Our students, who researched non-governmental organisations that serve the community as second line of inquiry, noticed the role and responsibilities of the people who volunteer in these organisations. They wanted to learn more about some non-governmental organisations and they invited Sinan Akdoğan, Emel Utku and Erhan Acar who work as volunteers in different organisations. They told them about their roles and responsibilities in their organisations. After the presentation, our students had the opportunity to understand how the organisations work. These presentations make our students raise awareness of the society they live in.
